Guatemala: Organic San Antonio
Red apple. Lemon-lime. Dates.
This certified Organic lot comes from producers surrounding the town of San Antonio in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. The San Antonio Cooperative has been certified Organic since 2008. This is another great lot from Guatemala with some similarities to the other lot I just brought in (Acatenango Quische) but distinctly different showing what another micro-region in Guatemala can produce. The coffee is balanced and a bit delicate with a chocolate aroma and notes of apple, orange, lemon-lime, dates and caramel. Both complex and subtle, this coffee shows the quality in good Organic lots.
